Savage Kingdoms

I had recently finished reading the complete works of Robert Howard, the original creator of Conan the Barbarian and while searching information on the internet about the him, I ran across a Kickstarter Video for an upcoming role playing game called Savage Kingdoms. I contacted the creator and we hit it off great! The author wanted the Savage Kingdoms game to have a gritty sword and sorcery look. There would be a bunch of projects to come for this game including several full color multiple page books, illustrations, and social media graphics.

This was a logo I did for Fire in the Head Productions for the Savage Kingdoms role playing game. It would be the centerpiece of the book covers of the game and is one of my all time favorite pieces of work! Created using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.

Savage Kingdoms Core Rule Book

The Savage Kingdoms Core Rulebook was the first big project I did for the author and creator of this game. The book itself was over 300 pages and included multiple charts and illustrations and also included a character sheet at the end of the book for players to use.

The Savage East

The Savage East was a follow-up to the original core rule book. It featured exotic realms and creatures that were not included in the initial rule book. Working with the author, we paid attention to the feedback of readers and players as to how we could improve the overall usability and player experience. This included more defined chapter breaks as well as more artwork which enhanced the theme and the readers experience.
